Uniforms
At Streaky Bay Area School we believe there are benefits in students following an agreed uniform policy as it:
- Contributes to whole school unity
- Develops a sense of pride and belonging
- Develops a positive image of Streaky Bay Area School in the wider community
- Reduces competitive dressing and the cost associated with brand name clothing
- Assists with the safety and care of students through easy identification at school. grounds and excursions
The authority to implement a uniform policy comes from the Education Regulation 77, which came into operation in January 1994 and provides the right for Governing Councils to determine the School Uniform guidelines.
Our Governing Council Chairperson, Courtney Faulkner, has kindly volunteered to place orders for school uniforms regularly each term. Ordering periods will run for 3 weeks, generally Week 6, 7 and 8 of a 10 week term. Turn over takes around 2 weeks so this will allow product to arrive the week before term begins, allowing for families and students to be organised and ready for Day 1 – Week 1.
Payment is to be made when placing orders via direct debit or cash and for the three weeks and during week 9, Courtney will be available from 3-4pm in the front office to take eftpos
payments.
Minimal stock will be held onsite for emergency situations; however, this will be very limited.
