Governing council
Our school is governed by a governing council who works with our Principal to help set and monitor our school’s vision and direction.
The timing of meetings can be different for each term, but it’s no less than twice a term.
The council is responsible for:
- developing and approving local policies
- approving and reviewing our budget
- monitoring and reviewing the site improvement plan
- reviewing employment contracts
- consulting with the school community to make sure their views are represented.
Our governing council is comprised of the following members:
- Chairperson
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Student Representative Council member
- Staff member
- Various other committees – Finance, Parents and Friends, Library, Pool, Playground/Grounds, Fundraising and Vacation Care
Join our governing council
Usually elections to be on governing council are held every year, but the timing of elections depends on when positions become vacant or are due to be filled – each member of the council can only stay for a maximum of 2 years.
